Space funk from the Rocket City!

Self-described "middle-aged dude trying to make music" Hunter Copeland spent two years crafting his debut solo album The Boom Boom Room. He’s been known for playing in several Huntsville-area bands for many years, including Juice and Groove. As a young guitarist, his exposure to Jimi Hendrix’s Are You Experienced? led him to appreciate groove-oriented blues-rock soloing. Since then, his primary inspirations range from legendary New Orleans rhythm section The Meters to current neo-funk outfit The New Mastersounds. The Boom Boom Room is a collection of twelve instrumental tracks that develop his funk influences with a very modern twist.

The Boom Boom Room was showcased at Straight to Ale on August 2, 2019 in Huntsville, Alabama.

Hunter appears on the Startlingly Fresh Records release of John Onder's Faith, Hope, Love, Passion & Pain

"His guitar does his talking for him. And on Hunter Copeland's sharp new all-instrumentals album The Boom Boom Room, Copeland's bluesy, jazzy guitar sounds eloquent and expressive." - Matt Wake, al.com
